Tomorrow morning on Talk Radio 1170 KFAQ, Gwen Freeman will be filling in for Michael DelGiorno, and I'll be sitting in as sidekick for the whole morning. The show goes from 5:30 am to 9:00 am. You can listen online and hear the show live, or as it repeats over the next 24 hours.
(The first time you click on the "Listen Online" button, you'll be directed to download SurferNetwork player which you'll need to listen online.)

I don't know. Surfer Network provides a way to for KFAQ to insert national ads to replace local ads. Often stations don't have permission to broadcast local ads on the Internet, so they have to fill the time with something. The Surfer Network application runs as a bar shaped window, and it loads banner ads into the bar that are synchronized with the replacement ads that Surfer Network sells. I have not noticed any problems with pop-ups either with or without the player running. I'd certainly prefer if if KFAQ used a standard audio streaming program like RealAudio.

one thing i liked when i ffirst used surfer*, is that they had the station out of St Louis called The Red, its a eassy listening station with a jazz leaning (sinatra, dean etc).
