Route 66 News has a writeup of the candidate forum sponsored by the Route 66 Business League of Tulsa. It's interesting to read how candidates for Mayor and Council addressed the city's impact on Route 66 on matters like eminent domain (the threat of which is allowing the University of Tulsa to chase off the Metro Diner) and neon signage (our ordinances aren't neon friendly), as well as the $15 million in Vision 2025 money allocated for Route 66 improvements.

Route 66 support is important. Anyone that watches t.v. shows covering Route 66 -- the fun places to visit along Route 66 it is alive and well. It is also very good business for very small towns in Oklahoma!
There is supposed to be a movie coming out about
Route 66 in the future. I'm pretty sure I posted the name of who was doing it a while back on Batesline when someone mentioned it on a late night talk show.
People across America love going down "memory lane" and people enjoy touring Historic Route 66.

There is also an interesting Route 66 Magazine for those that are interested in traveling Route 66 outside of Oklahoma as well.
