Any planning with the intent of improving an area must take on the politically incorrect issue of subsidized renters that increase the crime, make a mess of the public schools, and generally drag an area into the toilet. This is not just north side, but anywhere section 8 trolls take root. Some areas of southeast Tulsa are going through this now. That is probably why some neighborhood associations are adamantly against allowing an apartment complex to be built in the vicinity -- although it is politically incorrect to come right out and say the real reason.
Talking downtown development to the northside should provide some fireworks.
With this being a Tulsa Now event and the elections nearing , I wonder how they will promote Mayor Taylor with this.
