In 1960, the Cooperative Extension Service put together a map of Washington County, Oklahoma, showing the rural communities and unofficially named areas, based on reports from county extension agents. It's rare that folk geography that isn't tied to post offices, churches, schools, or municipalities gets recorded in any way.
